report with aliases

When I create an all players report with aliased players, it seems to get grouped by site. Which kind of defeats the purpose of alias imo as the aliases data is spread on different rows.
-Is this intentional?
-If so, why on earth?
-If so, is there a way around this?

That does not sound intentional but it may be a byproduct of the stat or stats you're adding to your report - what stats are in this report?

I get the same when I just create a new report, All players report and leave the "Add common stats to report" checked. That's Player, myCwon, Hands.

I don't see that - when I alias players and create an All Players report I only see the main alias in the list.
Are you seeing total stats in the other reports?

You had aliases across sites?
When I create a one player report with default stats my alias is still shown across multiple rows. This is the query in PT4 log, not sure why you select the site:
SELECT (cash_hand_player_statistics.id_player) as "id_player", (player_real.id_site) as "id_site", (player.player_name) as "str_player_name", (sum(CAST( (cash_hand_player_statistics.val_curr_conv * cash_hand_player_statistics.amt_won) AS numeric ))) as "amt_won_curr_conv", (sum((case when(cash_hand_player_statistics.id_hand > 0) then 1 else 0 end))) as "cnt_hands" FROM cash_hand_summary, cash_hand_player_statistics , player, player player_real WHERE (player.id_player = cash_hand_player_statistics.id_player) AND (player_real.id_player = cash_hand_player_statistics.id_player_real) AND (cash_hand_player_statistics.id_player = (SELECT id_player FROM player WHERE player_name_search='myaliashere' AND id_site='1100')) AND (cash_hand_summary.id_hand = cash_hand_player_statistics.id_hand) AND (((cash_hand_summary.id_gametype in(1))AND (cash_hand_player_statistics.id_limit in (SELECT id_limit FROM cash_limit WHERE flg_nlpl=false) ))) GROUP BY (cash_hand_player_statistics.id_player), (player_real.id_site), (player.player_name)
The same happens if the only stat in the report is "Player".
But if I use "Player (short)" it no longer groups by site. So seems there's a way around the problem.

Yes, I had aliases across sites and created a new All Players report as you said.
Did you add any site stat to the report - I'm not sure why site_id would be in the query otherwise.
Please make sure that logging is enabled (Configure > Options) and restart PT4 and view the report again then attach the PokerTracker4.log file from C:\Users\yourname\AppData\Local\PokerTracker 4\ (which you can access from the PT4 File menu) to a
Support Ticket with a link to this thread.
Also export your report and attach it to the ticket as well.

No site stats. I can create an empty report and add "Player" and reproduce as described above.
