Customizing number of players

Hi fellow poker players,

In the hud profile editor, how do I make the stat only include hands with a certain amount of players? A very simple example: if I want VPIP only to include 5 and 6 handed play. It easy to see how the stat would be inflated from 2-4 handed play.

That's not possible in the HUD Profile Editor. If you go to 'HUD -> Edit HUD Options' you can filter your HUD statistics based on the number of players:

The 'Number Of Players Filtered' option allow you to filter HUD data based on the number of players at the table so you you can exclude 2-4 handed play from 5-6 handed play. These filters are global and will apply to all HUD statistics so if you want to do this for specific stats only then that would require the creation of custom statistics.

I have a followup question. When I am customizing the stat (lets just go with VPIP) in Configure --> Statistics I have duplicated VPIP and it seems that it is not possible to set a condition that the stat should only include hands with 5-6 players... Am I missing something here?

As I mentioned this would require a custom statistic - there are no conditions or properties you can apply to an existing statistic for the number of players. The relevant part of the database schema for the number of players in a hand is this:

cash_hand_summary.cnt_players

You will need to replace "cash" with "tourney" if this is for tournaments. This guide covers how to make a new version of an existing statistic and while the example is for the players position the principle is the same.
