Expressing percentage of effective stack in columns

I was wondering how to work in percentage of effective stack when creating a custom column
would say
>= (tourney_hand_player_statistics.amt_p_effective_stack)*0.8
work for greater than or equal to 80% of effective stack?
If not how would express this idea in the code? that pt4 uses. I want to use this to create HUD stats.
