HUD & More Stats

Postby mrproduct » Wed Dec 16, 2015 3:28 am

Running demo version. Data are valuable, agreed. User experience, bit of a turn off. Will I shell out to upgrade to licensed version? Not sure.

1) HUD: Getting the individual data-HUDs displays next to each player name Im guessing not so simple (lots of errors). I use the “save layout” function. However as new players sit, where their data-HUD displays somewhat random. The HUD requires constant care. Also, in 10P games, way too many much to fit withing the table window. My first request is a feature change: simplify. Each time I sit at a table having the HUD first display in a neat, stacked (window on top of window) aligned to the monitor’s edge I would expect to be much easier. Once displayed, user can move each data-HUD where s/he wishes (I seem to have to do this every window that opens anyways). Granted, this works only if there’s a button to fix the data-HUD to a position to the table window it’s attached to (so people can continue to move around table windows).

2) Assuming its not there already and I havent found it, I’d like to know the ROI on starting hands, broken into table positions (SB, BB, UTG, Mid, late, button): amount contributed to the pot vs the amount won with the specific starting hand.

3) Inc reference for what all the acrynoms stand for.

Thank you.

1) Once you have the Hud groups saved in the right place they will stay in the same place when players change. If you're having problems with the stats lining up by the correct players it could be that you need to configure your preferred seating. Preferred Seating Guide
You could also be having problems if you have Windows magnification enabled - go to Display in Control Panel and set it to 100% magnification.

2) In View Stats select the Statistics section and the Summary report in the sidebar, and choose Group by Position. You can add any stat you like to a report; right click the report and choose Configure Report.

3) You can see what each stat is in the Hud by hovering the mouse over a stat. To see detailed information about each stat go to Configure > Statistics.

1) I read the quick start guide. It was properly configured. Yeah, didnt work. I moved all the data-HUDs to just above the table window bar (easier for me to look at a player’s name then find it up there). Still, as players come and go data-HUDs appear randomly up there, often layered on another data-HUD. You may be an expert on the tool, but Im just the consumer. It doesnt work, and it will probably require me to take a lot of time to get it to work, and work only in the way designers want it to work.

2) Ok, but doesnt show me my overall win/loss for each starting hand.

3) Ok, but doesnt show me what the gazillion acroynms within the app itself stand for. To put it differently, OBDSMWTGAWTAISF.

More importantly, didn’t take time to write out comments to for assistance using the app. Rather wanted to share some initial comments that I suspect will improve the UX for everyone (well, not sure how statistically relevant ROI for starting hands are, but it’s something I wonder about).

If you set your preferred seating correctly and then position the stats by the correct players and save the layout it should appear by the correct player at new tables. There are no known issues like this - if preferred seating is configured to match what you have at your sites then the default positions should work fine, but if you've moved all the stats off the table then you'll need to reposition them again if you want them to be in the right places automatically.

If you want to split it by position and starting hand it's probably best to create a new Player report in My Reports and choose the group by position option and then add the stat "Hole Cards" to the report so that it groups by both - that should give you what you want.

What sort of acronyms are you having trouble with? We'll be happy to explain, or point you to documentation for a particular section.
