Multipe stats as one stat idea

Postby kingreigns » Mon Mar 23, 2015 8:40 am

I think it would be sweet if these were created, i don't know if they would be possible but it's just an idea.

Check flop - bet turn - bet river
check flop - bet turn - check river
bet flop - check turn - bet river
bet flop- check turn - check river
raise flop - bet turn - bet river
raise flop - bet turn - check river
donk flop and call raise- fold turn

There is so many variable you could have too on any of these ones
Even if you could make one or two of these, i would maybe be able to do the rest from what i see in the ones you create

Well it's just an idea really, you might not even use these much if you were able to create them since they would take a hefty sample size.
it just popped into my head today so i said i throw the idea out there
The (donk flop and call raise - fold to turn bet) would be handy though for those players that donk alot

I'm pretty sure they can be created I'd just need a much more precise definition to help you get started and I wouldn't want to put you down the wrong path :)

If you could create the :
donk flop and call raise and fold to turn bet
and
cbet flop and check turn and bet river

From these i should be able top make all sorts of stats hopefully, totally noob to creating stats from scratch but any i do make ill run it by you first

Let's focus on "donk flop and call raise and fold to turn bet" - you want this to be the percentage that someone bets out of position on the flop before the preflop aggressor could cbet, calls a raise (from the aggressor?), checks the turn, and folds to a bet (from the aggressor?), divided by opportunities to fold given all of the same preconditions - correct?

Ok, so this guide for the basics on custom statistics creation and this guide for a deeper walkthrough. The latter was written for PT3 but the techniques all apply to PT4, the interface is just slightly different.

You can also look at the definitions of existing statistics - and steal pieces of them to use for your own. For example the numerator of donk flop is cnt_f_donk - you can just steal that entire code:

sum(if[cash_hand_player_statistics.flg_p_face_raise AND NOT (cash_hand_player_statistics.flg_p_3bet OR cash_hand_player_statistics.flg_p_4bet) AND cash_hand_player_statistics.flg_f_bet AND NOT (cash_hand_player_statistics.flg_f_cbet_opp) AND ((cash_hand_summary.cnt_players > 2 AND cash_hand_player_statistics.val_p_raise_aggressor_pos < cash_hand_player_statistics.position) or (cash_hand_summary.cnt_players = 2 and cash_hand_player_statistics.flg_blind_b)), 1, 0])

and add in that a player checked the turn on top of it, addition in bold:

sum(if[cash_hand_player_statistics.flg_p_face_raise AND NOT (cash_hand_player_statistics.flg_p_3bet OR cash_hand_player_statistics.flg_p_4bet) AND cash_hand_player_statistics.flg_f_bet AND NOT (cash_hand_player_statistics.flg_f_cbet_opp) AND ((cash_hand_summary.cnt_players > 2 AND cash_hand_player_statistics.val_p_raise_aggressor_pos < cash_hand_player_statistics.position) or (cash_hand_summary.cnt_players = 2 and cash_hand_player_statistics.flg_blind_b)) and cash_hand_player_statistics.flg_t_check, 1, 0])

It's really just a matter of putting together the pieces. That your action was bet then call on the flop can be written as:
lookup_actions_f.action = 'BC' and you can do turn action of check/fold as lookup_action_t.action = 'XF'. So instead of just using flg_t_check as above you could instead do:

sum(if[cash_hand_player_statistics.flg_p_face_raise AND NOT (cash_hand_player_statistics.flg_p_3bet OR cash_hand_player_statistics.flg_p_4bet) AND cash_hand_player_statistics.flg_f_bet AND NOT (cash_hand_player_statistics.flg_f_cbet_opp) AND ((cash_hand_summary.cnt_players > 2 AND cash_hand_player_statistics.val_p_raise_aggressor_pos < cash_hand_player_statistics.position) or (cash_hand_summary.cnt_players = 2 and cash_hand_player_statistics.flg_blind_b)) and lookup_actions_f.action = 'BC' and lookup_action_t.action = 'XF', 1, 0])

and have your numerator.

Wow this is hard, i'm getting nowhere. I even tried just copying yours in and when i click validate it said "invalid value expression" or does that matter?
Where did you find "sum" ? It's not in the function columns when you click insert.
how long did it take you to get used to make stats from scratch ?
