Account Balance not matching cumulative $ green line

Postby mildeng » Wed Nov 19, 2025 2:24 am

I'm fairly new to PT4. One quick observation is that my poker site account balance does not reconcile with my green line (cumulative C$ won).

A few notes:
- There have been no interim deposits or withdrawals to factor for
- I play on GG and understand that rake may or may not be factored for
- That said, my GG account is actually in a slight surplus position (ie. positive bb/100) while PT4 has me at -0.24/100

If anyone can recommend the proper way to view this (or more likely what I've done wrong) it is much appreciated.

1. Have any cashback or bonuses been added to your account such as GGPokers fish buffet?

2. If you have played cash games and tournaments that data is separated in PokerTracker 4 (unless you are looking at your 'Overall Results: Cash & Tournament Graph).

Are you getting the positive BB/100 from PokerCraft? Or are you just assuming it's positive because your account balance increased? Please note the following:

1. PokerCraft does not account for rake:

2. It's possible to have a negative winrate (BB/100) and have positive winnnings (or vice versa) in PokerTracker 4 if you have played multiple cash game stakes.

Thanks for the info.

No bonuses added or tourneys to factor for.

My impression of positive BB/100 is strictly due to a surplus balance in GG (balance >>> deposit) which implies some level of profitability. It would make sense that PT could show this as negative if it factors for rake - but would PT do this on its own simply from me importing hands? My $ profit is small enough that this is definitely a possibility.

My stats are across 3 different cash game stakes so your point is well taken. If not implicitly adjusted for rake I still would have expected this to be positive in aggregate though?

Yes it automatically does that. BB/100 is calculated with this formula:

Code: Select all
Number of Big Blinds Won / (Number of Hands / 100)

PokerTracker 4 accounts for rake. If you have been playing multiple stakes then as I said you can have a negative winrate and positive winnings or vice versa. If you are querying the change in account balance then looking at BB/100 isn't relevant here:

1. Does the number of hands in PokerTracker 4 match what GGPoker is reporting? If there is a difference then you are not comparing like with like.

2. PokerTracker 4 does not track your account balance. It imports data from the GGpoker hand histories. All the hand actions, bet amounts, rake e.t.c. are in these hand histories. You can open and review them with a text editor such as Notepad. You can compare any of those hands with what you see in PokerTracker 4 for that hand.

3. When importing hands into PokerTracker 4 it will tell you if all the hands import of if there are any import errors. If there was any import error on a hand that would be reported by PokerTracker 4 and potentially lead to a mismatch in what you are comparing (see #1). For example if there was bad data in a hand history then PokerTracker 4 can potentially reject that hand and not import it.

4. PokerTracker 4 has a number of statistics for your net winnings. There are statistics based on 'My Currency' and 'Game Currency' so if your 'My Currency' in PokerTracker 4 doesn't match the 'Game Currency' exchanges rates will be appiled:

Guide: Currency

Furthermore GGPoker does not differentiate between hands played in $USD and $CAD so all $CAD hands will be treated as $USD.

5. If you use cashout there are 'Payout' statistics in PokerTracker 4 which track those results. Regular winnings statistics track the result of the hand as if the hand was played out normally:

Guide: Configuring Reports

In 'Configure -> Statistics' you can view descriptions and formulas for PokerTracker 4 statistics. You can use the 'Search' function in the Statistics window and when a statistic is selected you can view a description and formula for it on the 'Details' tab.

6. If you play 'All-In or Fold' games then GGPoker take fees before hands are dealt which isn't currently supported.

If you need any further assistance you can send specific information detailing the issue to us via a Support Ticket along with a zip file of your GGPoker hand histories.
