PAHUD not shutting down

Postby Rusty » Wed Sep 03, 2008 8:47 pm

Frequently I'll get an error message when starting up PAHUD that tells me a version of PAHUD is already running. It isn't running (I double check in the Task Manager). Is this a common problem and is there a solution?

Thanks is advance,
T

Look in the Processes tab of Task Manager for PAHud.exe, and close that.

Are you looking at the Processes tab, not just the Applications tab?

Yes, I am looking at the processes tab. I start a session, open PAHUD but it won't open b/c it says it's already running. I check the task bar to make sure I didn't leave it running. Nope nothing there. I check task manager, nope nothing there. Usually it'll open later in the session, as I try to start it up every few minutes.

This is a known PAH bug which occurs after closing PAH and then quickly restarting. We have looked into this issue several times and still cannot figure it out. It makes zero sense, since like you said, the process is not listed in the Task Manager so it should not be running. :(

Typically, if you wait a few minutes, it will then start fine.

Best regards,
