Lookup Actions Clarification

Postby Tru80 » Fri Mar 27, 2009 11:26 pm

I'm trying to make some custom stats for HU cash games using lookup actions and have a couple ?'s

Does '%' return strings that have no further action ie. would lookup_actions_f.action LIKE 'X%' count the times a player checked OOP and the IP player checked behind or only the cases where the IP player bet?

If so, could I use something like 'X_%' to represent the times a player checks and faces a bet?

Would the small blind completing / limping be represented by 'C%' (along with flg_blind_s) and would the big blind checking after the small blind limps be represented by 'X'?

Thanks

% matches any number of any characters - zero or more.
So LIKE 'X%' counts both the times a player checked OOP and the IP player checked behind and where the IP player bet.
LIKE 'X' would only match times the other player checked behind.

You're correct - LIKE 'X_%' would be those times the player checks and faces a bet (and any further action, including none).

Would the small blind completing / limping be represented by 'C%' (along with flg_blind_s) and would the big blind checking after the small blind limps be represented by 'X'?

Correct.

As an extra little tidbit, LIKE '' (empty string) shows everyone folding to the BB (BB makes no action).
