Facing a Raised or Unraised Preflop

Postby Dracco78 » Sun Jan 18, 2009 8:19 pm

Im trying to create a statistic that shows the percentage of times a player preflop and unraised made a call. The cnt_p_call which description says: Number of times player called a bet preflop dividen between the opp he got should do the trick. Turns out that, even that for most of pk3 bet and raise are different things, for this cnt_p_call is including even calling a raise.

About the statistic format when is not a percentage, format_number (xxx), 2,true, true. What is the "2" and the trues for?

Where can I find a complete guide about the SQL? Because the one provided is incomplete and the definitions in it can be missinterpreted.

I created a new collum with the exact expression of one of the predetermated collums. Expression: sum(if[holdem_hand_player_statistics.flg_p_face_raise, 1, 0]). Originally in cnt_p_face_raise. Then I use my collum name for the value expresion of my statistic but when I apply it on the configure report -position statistics the whole grid shows not statistics but in red Unable to execute query followed by a bunch of code that 1: cant be edited (copy) and cant be complete read as the grid has limited show space (expand to window doesnt work so there is no way to see the complete code).

I tried again without creating a new collum and it works fine, but the point was to be able to create a collum among other reasons because I also need the opposite value= sum(if[holdem_hand_player_statistics.flg_p_face_raise,0,1]) which I think shoild count the times player didnt face a raise preflop.

This is already in the Repository. It's called Preflop limp stats and is on page 3: [url]http://www.pokertracker.com/repository/statistics.php?f[sort]=hits&f[order]=desc&f[page]=3[/url]

Yes, cnt_p_call counts how many times you call preflop, so if you limp then get raised and call again cnt_p_call = 2.

2 is the number of decimal places. The last two booleans are whether you want commas separating the 1000s (e.g. 1,000 or 1000) and whether you want the stat coloured green or red for positive or negative.
If you click 'insert' and look at the Functions tab you can see what the fields are for any function.

Code: Select all

A full guide to SQL is a bit beyond this forum, and you don't really need to know any SQL - if you're interested, do a web search - there is plenty of general SQL info out there.

Did you configure the Format tab of your new stat too? You need to enter column header and width information for it to be used in reports.

I tried again without creating a new collum and it works fine, but the point was to be able to create a collum among other reasons because I also need the opposite value= sum(if[holdem_hand_player_statistics.flg_p_face_raise,0,1]) which I think shoild count the times player didnt face a raise preflop.

That won't do exactly what you want (assuming you are talking about your 'limp' stat) because you can limp (call) initially and then face a raise later. Have a look at the columns in my Repository stat - the cnt_p_limp column is pretty easy but cnt_p_limp_opp[ortunity] is more complicated.

Your idea about reversing 0 and 1 should work, but generally we would do this:
sum(if[NOT holdem_hand_player_statistics.flg_p_face_raise,1,0])
..which is more extentable when you start checking other fields too.
