Old database/Fatal error message

Hi,

I sucessfully downloaded PostgreSQL/PT3 today and tsf'd over my database from PT2. I had PT3 running while playing on stars and it was working and importing fine. The HUD was displaying stats from the hands I had transfered.

Now, when I try to start PT3 again I get the following message: "This is an older database. Imports and some reports may not work properly. Please create a new database". When I click OK, PT3 opens but in the player field on the left hand side I see the following message as well: "Unable to login to database (PT3 Beta DB1). reason: Fatal: database "PT3 Beta DB1" does not exist."

Can I fix this without having to create a new database and without having to tsf all the HH's form PT again?

Also, I went ahead and created a second database just to see. After playing for about 15-20 minutes and auto-importing hands, I went and filtered the stats and the Player Summary/Player Statistics sections contain only red error messages(Players names are now appearing on the very left though.

I think this may be a bug in the latest beta version.

I am going to mark this thread for Josh's attention so that he can look into the issue and get back to you on this.

You got the outdated database message because PT3 couldn't connect to the database at all.

As for your error in the reports, please reproduce and attach the PokerTracker.log file to a support ticket.

Ok, there was just a problem with the way I created the second database. I created a third one and that is importing and displaying stats fine.

The problem now is, I cannot find the hands that I had previously converted from PT2 to the original PT3 database that cannot be found? I've already removed PT2 off my system because at first the new PT3 database was working fine

Are these old hands lost?

Go to the Database Management window. Select the database you importing your PT2 hands into and click the Export button. That should extract all the hands from that database which can then be imported into your new one.
