Are there any advantages for PT3 in upgrading postgresql to 8.4.2?

I haven't done extensive tests on this at this point I'm afraid. Looking at the changelogs I don't see much that would make a big difference, but it is possible there is some improvement, I just haven't tested it extensively enough to say for certain one way or another.
