PokerTracker missing a lot of hands

Postby Salats » Mon Apr 02, 2012 12:58 pm

Hello. So I have noticed my pokertracker importing less and less hands, I don't really know what is the cause of this as I haven't really had any problems like this before. I used to check my pokertracker for MGR to make sure my affiliate paid me the right amount of rakeback. Anyway last 3 months the winnings tab has been completely off like 10-20% displacement. Today I wanted to check my March MGR and wow I am surprised, according to PT my affiliate has paid almost double the rakeback I should get. :D Now I know it's not a mistake on their part+the hand sample PT3 shows in my winnings tab is kind of low so I don't really buy that.

Anyway I have been doing the housekeeping all the cluster etc like every 10k hands or even more. My hand histories are getting close to a million now so I guess that could play significant part in the malfunction. Do you have any good tips for me as to how should I treat this? I don't really want to cut my old hand histories out to store someplace else but I guess I will have to do that if there is no other way.

Thank you.

There shouldn't be a problem with databases approaching (or exceeding) a million hands - certainly not problems like you describe. Are you completely up to date in your PokerTracker version? What site are you playing at?

I play IPoker, and yes I get the update available info window frequently and update it to the latest beta every time it says there is a new one out.

Can you narrow down some region of hands which are missing?

If you run a Manual Import on your processed hands folder, does it pick up any new hands or throw any errors?

Hey, sorry for so late response. Just now had the time to check with the manual import. It didn't help, I didn't get any more hands imported. Didn't see any errors either. Even tho when I'm playing sometimes I see some occasional error in the import status sector, not sure what are those about.

Next time you see one of these errors please attach the appropriate hand history file to a Support Ticket so that we can investigate.
You will need to compress the file(s) before you attach them as .xml files cannot be attached directly.

It just says no winner found in hand. Could this be it? It doesn't show up too often so there might be something else to it. Should I still file the support ticket with this?

It could be - please send us the file and once we have it, it will be much easier for us to figure out what is the cause.

Is it the hand history that showed up with the error that I'm supposed to send? I can't really find it I went in the specific poker folder and there were no hand histories there since they are imported to PT processed folder. I checked the processed folder and couldn't find it there either.

But there is a wierd thing I noticed. In the processed folder I have sub folders for different poker networks. Now the hand that I saw had an error was from IPoker. The thing is there is an IPoker sub-folder in the processed folder. But there are also hand histories from IPoker directly in the processed folder too. Now is this normal? Shouldn't all the IPoker hands go in the IPoker folder?

Also, how can I find this hand history I'm supposed to attach to the ticket? Thank you.

All iPoker files should go into the iPoker folder, but the site subfolders are optional so it is possible that it was disabled at some point.

It isn't easy to identify the exact file for iPoker since the filenames aren't descriptive. If you want you can just compress all of the HH files from the appropriate day and attach them. We'll be able to find the error by importing the files.
These "no winner in hand" errors do happen as genuine errors in the hand history from time to time.
