how to use PT3 and HEM

Hello,
i have HEM ( holdem manager 2 ) installed on my windows XP box. I would like to evaluate the PT3 on the same machine. I noticed that both packages use postgress DB.
Here are my few questions:

a. how i can install PT3 on the same box without losing hands histories from the HEM ?
b. how can i remove PT3 without affecting HEM, if i didceded to?
c. can i use a separate PG installation on another box? and what are requirements for this - version, ports, user/pass ?
d. (if i purchase PT3 ) on how many computers can i use it?
e. if the answer on question "d" is "not one" can i share the same database across my installs? and what are the limitations - for example i have 3 laptops and i PC. i t would be nice to have all of them sharing one DB.

Please let me know.

(a) PT3 won't interfere with your HEM installation. We require PostgreSQL but if it is already there we can use the existing installation. We use a separate database within PostgreSQL from theirs so we will not interfere with their data.
(b) Uninstalling PT3 does not touch PostgreSQL - that would be a separate uninstall procedure. As long as you leave PostgreSQL installed, HEM will be able to connect to it.
(c) PostgreSQL is free software and there is no limitation on how many times you can install it.
(d) If you purchase PT3 in addition to getting the PT4 upgrade for free, you will be able to use PT3 on up to two machines at any given time. Uninstalls and dead computers do not count against you so if you upgrade your computing setup you can change which two computers you use it on without problems.
(e) Yes you can, though it does take a little work. See this tutorial for the details. Alternately you can synchronize them, which is explained here.
