Allin-EV Different From HM

Postby guitarizt » Sat Nov 12, 2011 2:27 am

I'm using the newest beta of PT and the newest final version of HM. In the reports tab, the hands and money lost lines up exactly in both PT and HM. I graphed the results in BB so it wouldn't mess up from the usd to euro currency conversion. If you need me to I could comb through my allin hands from yesterday but going from memory I think hm should be close to right. Let me know if you want the hh's.

I believe that there are some different situations in which HEM calculates EV. PT3 only calculates all-in EV when we have enough information to do so accurately; when all hole cards involved in the all-in are known.
See the FAQ: Expected Value (EV) Graphs for more information on how and when we calculate all-in EV.

Ah thanks I get it. That makes sense. For the month PT is only off by HM by about two buyins for allin-ev. The small percentage difference would probably explain the allin-ev never matching up with real dollar ev in HM graphs. I should really get more discipline and just turn allin-ev off but it's fun to look at.
