Hand Summary Winning Percentage Error

Postby sfifield » Tue Jul 26, 2011 12:21 am

Is this a bug? The winning percentages calculated by PT3 (Version 3.11.3 beta) in the "Hand Formatted" hand summary are incorrect. On the flop the winning percentages are showing as 100% (and 0%). The actual percentages should be 99.9% (and 0.1%).

BTW, I swear, I'm not posting this for the bad beat - I was screwing around in the super-micro SNGs on merge (look at the stakes) and had to laugh when I saw this flop.

Merge - $0.10+$0.10|<> NL (6 max) - Holdem - 2 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 3

BB: 2,800.00
Hero (SB): 6,200.00

Hero posts SB 200.00, BB posts BB 400.00

Pre Flop: (600.00) Hero has A:diamond: A:spade:

Hero calls 200.00, BB raises to 2,800.00 and is all-in, Hero calls 2,400.00

Flop: (5600.00, 2 players) 6:heart: 6:spade: 6:diamond:

Turn: (5600.00, 2 players) 2:diamond:

River: (5600.00, 2 players) K:heart:

BB shows 6:club: Q:club: (Four of a Kind, Sixes) (Pre 17%, Flop 100%, Turn 100%)
Hero shows A:diamond: A:spade: (Full House, Sixes full of Aces) (Pre 83%, Flop 0%, Turn 0%)
BB wins 5,600.00

That is a rounding issue - the winning percentages are shown as whole numbers. If you add the EV Allin Equity stat to one of the reports showing individual hands (Tutorial: Configure Built-in Reports) it should be shown to 2 decimal places there. What value do you see there? (It's possible it could still show 100% sometimes due to variation in the simulation of possible outcomes, since PT3 doesn't have time to simulate every possible outcome in all cases.)
