Copying PTH Access databases to PT3

Postby Choparno » Fri May 16, 2008 10:31 am

This is probably really simple but I can't work it out and can't find it discussed:

How do I copy my Access databases from PTH into PT3? I have switched straight from PTH to the commercial release of PT3.

Thanks.

You can't do it directly, you need to export your hand histories first.
Utilities -> Export Hand Histories to File. Note where you save these, then do a Manual Import from that folder into PT3.

When i convert i get 16 hand errors. Why is this. If i had them in PT2 they should work in PT3 right? Can i fix the hand manually and import them and if so how do i know exactly what is wrong with them?

If you can identify some of the hands that fail, or at least the file that they are in, please attach it/them to the Support system so they can be investigated.

Is there a error log for the hand numbers that failed?

It should show in the import window, or at least show what file it was processing.
If you can't find it, you can enable logging: Configure -> Options.
