Guys,
Many thanks for making a wine-friendly product! Now, I have PT3 running on my openSUSE 10.3 box. So far, everything seems to work perfectly. Cash games, tournies, even the HUD--it's a dream. The only reason I might not have bought the final product would have been complications with wine--but so far there are none!
Just in case anybody else is interested, let me summarize what I did:
0.) Prerequisite: working installation of wine (I use wine-0.9.61)
1.) install postgresql and postgresql-server via standard package manager
2.) set a password via "password postgres" (as root)
3.) Login: "su - postgres" and initialize database server: "initdb --pgdata=/var/lib/pgsql/data"
4.) Start database server: "postgres -D /var/lib/pgsql/data"
5.) download http://www.pokertracker3.com/products/P ... teodbc.exe and install using wine ("wine sqliteodbc.exe")
6.) download PokerTracker 3 (without PostgreSQL) and install in wine ("wine PT-Install-v3.00.b10.exe")
7.) Fire it up: "wine ~/.wine/drive_c/Program\ Files/PokerTracker\ 3/Pokertracker.exe"
8.) Follow default options, enter same password as in 2.) above
9.) Fire up PokerStars
10.) Enjoy!
