Postby EBabbNW » Sat Oct 08, 2011 6:59 pm

Hello,

I just got emails from Bodog Customer Support regarding PokerTracker 3 and Holdem Manager. It looks like it's not acceptable to use PT3 or HEM on Bodog.

See below.

Dear Eric,

Thank you for contacting Bodog Poker Customer Service.

Regarding your previous email, please note that according to our player agreement is not allowed to use or suggest the use of Player Assistance Programs. Use by players of external player assistance programs ("EPA Programs") which are designed to provide players with an unfair advantage over their opponents are expressly prohibited. We define EPA Programs as including computer software and non-software-based databases or profiles (e.g., web sites and subscription services) and we consider access to or the ability to gather data or information on other players by any means that would not be accessable via their own first-hand experience (i.e. observation of game play) to be "unfair".

We reserve the right to close Accounts and void any and all winnings in such Accounts if we establish, in our reasonable discretion, the use of an EPA Program.

Thank you very much for writing. Should you have any questions, or require any further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Thanks and look forward to your response.

GREAT!!!! I just signed up there... (since i lost stars) and was about to deposit but i was looking to make sure PT worked. I noticed on bodog they don't show the hole cards of any of the other players in a hand, just the winner. Has this alway been that way or is it something new?

Contrary to the position of the CS person, the actual terms of service dated 2010 do permit the gathering of data for personal use, provided you gather this information from your own play (first hand experience). You are safe, any reasonable lawyer would agree. To date NOBODY has ever had their account frozen for using PokerTracker on ANY network - including Bodog. We pride ourselves as being a responsible company within the poker industry, PokerTracker follows the Bodog Terms of Service.
