Finishing places in tournaments

Postby ptdatabase » Sat Apr 19, 2008 1:56 am

Hiya,

Just noticed when checking out my own stats that for my tournaments (SnG) it isn't showing whether I got 1st, 2nd, or 3rd, even for those ones I did get a place in the money.

Am I doing something wrong? Or is this something yet to be implemented and I can re process all my hand history files once it's implemented?

Cheers

What site are you playing on? You will need to request your tournament summaries from the poker site in their lobby. They will then send you an email with this information. Copy the contents of the email to a text file then manually import this text file into PokerTracker 3. The information should then be correct.

Best regards,

Do I have to request this email for all tournament that I will participate? Are you planning to introduce this feature in the future in order to improve de software and have this information autoimported?

Yes, we will eventually implement a way to (semi) automate this process. Until we are able to get this feature added, you will need to manually request this information for all of your tournament summaries. You should be able to do a bunch of summaries all in one request so it should not be that cumbersome.

Unfortunately it is that cumbersome!
It is not possible to get all my tournaments results once at all. I will have to get this information at each 3 days. It is impossible considering the amount of tournaments I have.
Is there any other way? In order to me purchasing the program, this feature is excencial.

If these are single table SnGs, the next beta version will be able to populate the placing and winning information with a single click of a button. MTT and multiple table SnGs will still require manual entry. There's just no way around it.

What is the format of the text file for importing to the pokertracker? Is it the same format for SNG, MTT or tournaments?

I requested a tournament summary from FTP and got a excel document back. Do I just cut and paste into a .txt document and import? Anything special I need to do?

PT3 doesn't import those. In fact, I've never seen a spreadsheet that Full Tilt sends. Please attach it to a support ticket (zip it first) and I'll take a look at it.
