Question about the player summary

For the player summary in tournaments it shows finishes for 1st-3rd places, is it possible to add more places like 4th-6th?
It would be nice to see if I am hitting the bubble to many times in a session. I have not had a chance to test the program yet. Just looking at the info that the program gives you, I am pumped up about trying it. I plan on giving it a go on FTP a little later tonight.

Sure, check out the custom statistics. Take a look how 1st, 2nd and 3rd is done and create as many more as you want.

I just want to make sure I dont mess this up. I think this is the right way to do it, but I am not sure. So here is a sample of what I would do if I were to add a 4th place finish right now, is this correct or way off? I did not try it yet becuse like I said I dont want to mess anything up.

1. Go to Configure Statistics

2. Under the sections tab click on Holdem Tournament Tournaments (Summary of Tournaments)

3. Then click the Columns tab Select New

4. In the Name Field enter: cnt_finish_4

5. In Expression enter: sum(if[tourney_holdem_results.val_finish=4, 4, 0])

6. In Description enter: Total number of 4th place finishes.

7. In Summary Type select: Sum

8. Make sure protected has a check in the box, then click apply.

9. Click the Statistics tab and click new.

11. In name type in: 4th Place

12. Description Type: Number of 4th place finishes.

13. In Value Expression type: cnt_finish_4

14. Make sure the protected box has a check in it. Then click apply.

15. On the side of player summary click configure this report, select 4th place, then click apply.

This should be: sum(if[tourney_holdem_results.val_finish=4, 1, 0])

8. Make sure protected has a check in the box, then click apply.
14. Make sure the protected box has a check in it. Then click apply.

This is only used by us to distinguish those stats/columns/variables that PT3 comes with by default, so they can't be changed.

The rest looks good.

Thanks for all the help Josh, I am going to add a 4th-6th right now. Then I will do my first test with the program in a few hours. I will test it over 25 or so sng's to start. I cant wait, I am pumped. When I am done with my session I will make sure to leave lots of feedback on the forum. Thanks agian for all your help.

Had a little problem, I got a unable to execute query message. When I go to apply the 4th place in the

1. Configure Report - Player Summary

In the available stats I have 4th Place, so I selected that to apply then I got the long query message. Now I did notice under the Report stats They have: 1st-3rd places with description, however the reports stats does not show 4th place, I think this may be the problem. It should not though I did it the way outlined above with your change to line 5.

The PokerTracker.log file will have an entry in it saying "Unable to execute query". If you copy and paste the contents of that message, I can determine what's wrong with your stat.

I can not copy and paste it from poker the poker tracker itself, so I tryed to export the file in my doc's to open it with word. When I try to open in word to cut & paste it will open, but it is only one line of the message I got. So I tryed to go to the poker tracker folder, in files and folders and when I open the log folder it does not have this message in there. Then I went to the querys folder it was in there saved as player.csv but when I try to open in word or notepad I get only the one line from the message.

This is all it gives me, but there is alot more to the orginal query message.

"Buy-In","Table Type","Tourney Type","Tournaments","Total Buy-In","Amount Won","Net Won","ROI","ITM","Avg Players","Avg Finish","1st Place","2nd Place","3rd Place"
